PADI Rescue Diver Course

Learn to become a PADI Rescue Diver!!!

The PADI Rescue Diver course is an essential component of diver education, serving in increasing an individual’s knowledge and expertise beyond the realm of recreational diving. This course provides knowledge and skills that enhance one’s awareness and responsibility as a diver through an emphasis on problem prevention and management in the water. Self-rescue, identifying and managing stress in fellow divers, emergency equipment, and emergency management .

The course consists of three sections:

Knowledge development: During this session, you will receive a PADI Rescue Diver e-learning that will help you gain a better understanding of rescue diver theory before we go to the rescue exercise training session, and you must complete the knowledge review questions in all sections (Learning on your own), and you will do the final exam with your instructor, and Have divers prepare an emergency assistance plan for the location where the scenario will be held.

Rescue Exercises: You’ll practice and develop your rescue skills in a controlled environment including self-rescue exercise and 10 rescue exercises.

  • Tired diver
  • Panic diver
  • Response form shore boat or dock (Responsive diver)
  • Distress diver underwater
  • Missing diver
  • Surfacing the unresponsive diver
  • Unresponsive diver at the surface
  • Exiting the unresponsive diver
  • First Aid for Pressure-Related Injuries and Oxygen Administration
  • Response from Shore/Boat to Unresponsive (nonbreathing) Diver at the Surface

Scenario practice: After you have completed and mastered all of the rescue exercise’s skill performance requirements, you will be conducting two rescue scenarios in an open water environment. (Unresponsive diver underwater and Unresponsive diver underwater).

Itinerary

Step 1) Sign up and pay for the course, then receive a PADI rescue diver e-learning and start.

Day 1

9:00 – 11:00 AM ; Dive theory review

12:00 – 17:00 PM ; Rescue exercise practice

Day 2

9:00 – 11:00 AM ; Dive theory final exam

12:00 – 17:00 PM ; Scenario practice

Diver prerequisites

  • 12 year old
  • PADI adventure dive or equivalent (must have completed the underwater navigation)
  • EFR primary care & secondary care training within 24 months
  • Medically fit to dive
  • Able of floating and swimming
  • It is recommended that you do not fly within 18-24 hours after diving.
